Take a taxi to «Universität Irchel» (costs about CHF 45 and takes about 15 min.). You will be dropped off at the Irchel taxi pick-up, which is on an underground level.
There is a glass door next to the taxi pick-up. Enter the university there (your are in building 21) and take the lift to level G (the levels are denoted by letters). Walk down the hallway until you reach the so-called «Lichthof» (≈ light yard). The «Lichthof» is a central crossroads at the Irchel. Turn right and follow the hallway to its end, where you turn left. The doors are now blue and you are in our building, building 44.

Alternatively, you may take tram no. 10 from the airport to final destination “Hauptbahnhof” (Zurich main station). (see map). The journey by tram takes about 22 min.
Leave the tram at the tram stop «Irchel». There is a flight of stairs next to the tram stop (see map). Climb the stairs and turn right to cross the footbridge across one of the main roads into town. Turn left after the footbridge and follow the path until you reach a large cobbled square. Turn right and then climb the ramp up to the main entrance next to the cafeteria. Enter the University there.
You are now on level G (the levels are denoted by letters). Walk down the hallway until you reach the so-called «Lichthof» (≈ light yard). The «Lichthof» is a central crossroads at the Irchel. Turn right and follow the hallway to its end, where you turn left. The doors are now blue and you are in our building, building 44.

The train network in Switzerland is well-developed and the trains leave and arrive on time most of the times. You should encounter little difficulty when taking a train to Zurich main station from your starting point.
How to reach us by tram from Zurich main station?
At Zurich main station you need to change from the train to the tram. There are two major tram stops outside Zurich main station. Take tram no. 10 (to final destination «Flughafen Zürich»). The ride to the Irchel campus will take about 15 min.

When you drive into Zurich from the South (i.e. on the freeway A3 from Chur) you should follow the signs to Winterthur, St. Gallen and Flughafen Kloten. After crossing the Limmat Valley on a long bridge the street clims a rather steep hill. At the top you will drive through two short tunnels. After the second tunnel you need to switch lanes to the right immediately. There is already a sign «Uni Irchel – Parkhaus». Take the right lane again and turn right at the first traffic lights. 50m after the traffic lights a ramp decends into the underground parking of the Irchel, where you leave your car.
Take the lift from the underground parking up to level F and walk uphill towards the university buildings. You cross a large cobbled square. At the end of the square climb the ramp up to the main entrance next to the cafeteria. Enter the University there.

When driving into Zurich from the West (i.e. on the freeway A1 from Basel/Bern) do not drive into Zurich city. Instead follow the freeway A1 freeway towards Winterthur, St. Gallen and Flughafen Kloten. At the next freeway crossroads take the lane towards Zürich, Chur and Luzern. Take the exit «Zürich-Schwamendingen» and follow the white signs towards «Irchel» until you see a sign pointing towards «Irchel – Parkhaus», the underground parking at the Irchel, where you can park your car.
